Soft Drinks I Found in Australia Review

about9mins to read

In my previous article, I ordered wine-like soft drinks from Amazon.

https://www.esplo.net/posts/2018/05/wine-like-drink

This article is similar in format, but without the wine-like aspect, and simply compares soft drinks I found in Australia.
……However, most of them were available at supermarkets, and there weren't many unusual ones. In fact, they might even be available at Japanese supermarkets, but I'll ignore that.

Soft Drink Situation in Australia

Before reviewing the products, I'll describe how soft drinks are sold at Australian supermarkets. The sales style is completely unsuitable for drink comparisons.

The reason is that small products are extremely expensive, and large products are relatively cheap. For example, PRESHAFRUIT's 350ml bottle costs $3.40 (approximately 278 yen), but the 2L bottle costs $7.00, which is $1.22 (approximately 100 yen) per 350ml. What kind of logistics are they using?.
Therefore, buying small bottles and comparing them is quite difficult.

Despite this, I tried several drinks and will review them below. I won't rank them and will list them randomly.

As usual, the review results are subjective, and I tend to highly evaluate sweet drinks. If you're interested, try them yourself during your trip.

Soft Drink Reviews

The JUICE LAB CAPTAIN SMOOTH

http://www.thejuicelab.com.au/captain-smooth/

  • Rating: C
  • Overview: It has a unique cinnamon-like aroma that hits your nose. The aftertaste is banana. It's not too sweet, so it's hard to decide when to drink it.
  • Memo: It seems healthy.

The JUICE LAB LOVE POTION

http://www.thejuicelab.com.au/love-potion/

  • Rating: B
  • Overview: It has a strong perfume-like aroma. Apparently, it doesn't contain any artificial ingredients, but I wonder how they achieved this scent. It's mysterious.
  • Memo: It seems like a good opportunity to test the pronunciation of "LAB" and "LOVE".

Just Juice Paradise Punch

  • Memo: It's Just Juice.

REPLENISH ANTIOXIDANT INFUSION

  • Rating: C
  • Overview: It's a rare carbonated drink. Although it's described as lemon flavor, it's not sweet and has a slightly bitter lemon peel-like taste. It's a bit sour. It has a natural feel to it.
  • Memo: It's for people who like lemon peels.

SPARKLING COCONUT WATER MANGO AND PASSIONFRUIT

https://rawc.com.au/product/sparkling-mango/

  • Rating: C
  • Overview: It seems healthy. It's a thin taste, which is expected from coconut water. It's refreshing, so it might be a good alternative to flavored water. It's expensive, though.
  • Memo: It's pure coconut water.

Conclusion

I reviewed soft drinks I found in Australia. Although I didn't find many that I liked, I think it's because I didn't search thoroughly enough.

The environment is not suitable for searching, so it's better to review with multiple people. Alternatively, it might be better to just travel without reviewing.
