Summary
- Minor corrections
- Erasing is also a great update
Improving Issues
Consolidating the Laptop's Power Cord to the Right Side
Until now, I had been inserting the power cord on the left side, which would get caught in the cables. However, upon closer inspection of the MBP, I realized there are ports on the right side as well Using the right-side ports, I was able to consolidate the power adapter, making it more convenient to move around. Take a closer look at the ports.
Using Magnets Instead of Clothespins to Secure the Curtains
Until now, I had been using clothespins to secure the curtains, which were difficult to close. I purchased a clip magnet for 100 yen and installed it, making it easy to secure the curtains. The issue is that the magnetic force is a bit weak, so I need to press it firmly. Perhaps using a stronger magnet or embedding it in the curtain would be better, but I'll observe it for now.
Solving the Extended Tap Issue in the Washroom
By securing not only the main body but also the cable part to the wall, the downward force has weakened, making it less likely to fall.
New Improvements
Controlling the Air Conditioner with Alexa
Through LS Mini, I can now control the air conditioner with Alexa. Although it's not been very hot lately, summer is approaching.
Removing the HDD Tower
Updates aren't just about adding things. This time, I removed the HDD tower (which allows access to multiple HDDs via USB) that had been sitting there. This allowed me to organize the floor and storage box.
The internal data was organized, and it was only a few hundred GB. I've moved it to Dropbox (business plan).
Preparing a Dedicated Bag for DDR
Until now, I had been using my daily bag for DDR as well, but it was inconvenient to pack and unpack the DDR-specific items (towel, vinyl bag, spray, etc.). With this update, I prepared a dedicated bag for DDR and packed the DDR-specific items, reducing the time it takes to pack.
Purchasing a New Power Strip
I had been using a power strip for several years, but it had issues such as broken cables and high legs that would get stuck in the metal rack's grooves. Although it still works, I purchased a new one, the PHOENIX WAN, which is working smoothly.
Introducing a Card Holder
I purchased a card holder for 100 yen and attached it to my company ID, reducing the number of cards in my wallet. I'd like to continue consolidating and making my wallet thinner.
Ongoing Issues
- The laptop and book placement is on the floor
- The desk and chair are in the way
- The dryer's placement is low
- The refrigerator is noisy
Conclusion
This month's updates were small. It seems like the issues will increase as summer approaches.
