Getting Over It Strategy? vol.2
It's as if the phrase "no regrets" was made for this moment.
Since it's too painful to play Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy alone, I'll write an article to get some sense of accomplishment.
This is the second installment, so I'll continue from where I left off last time.

Strategy?
Review of Last Time
The arrow was a pain.
Arrow
You can overcome the arrow by gaining momentum on the first rock and hooking onto it.
Imagine moving your mouse in a clockwise direction.
The more momentum you have, the easier it is to clear the gap.
By the way, I use a trackball.
I think a mouse would be easier to handle.
House
After overcoming the arrow, the "house" that's notorious for being tough on beginners appears.
House
It still looks harmless, but even if you stretch your arm to the max, you can't reach the slope.
If you try to force it, you'll be blown away to the left and have to start over.
So, what do you do?
If you don't have enough height, you can jump and swing to reach it.
Use the branch below.
Branch
The next rock is the same, so please take a look at the video.
It's easy.
You'll get used to it if you climb multiple times.
Pipe
This is the devil's gate for this time.
Pipe
Like the house, you can't hook onto it even if you stretch your arm to the max, but this time, you have to climb up from below.
To hook onto the pipe, you need to gain height, but how do you do it?
There are two patterns to climb the pipe.
- Jump and gain height on the spot
- Jump from the rock in front and swing over
1 uses a technique where you stab the hammer straight down and jump on the spot.
It's like floating in mid-air with your legs curled up.
It's a bit tricky because the foothold is sloping, but you can handle it calmly.
2 uses the momentum from the rock in front to swing over and hook onto the pipe.
This might be easier.
In the video below, I used method 1 to climb.
Above the Pipe
I managed to climb up, but I still can't reach the top.
This is a pattern where you need to gain momentum from the pipe and jump up.
So, I'll go back down the pipe and try again.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Narration 2
Who's to blame?
Below the Pipe
I'm back.
It gets smoother if you try multiple times.
After that, I went back to the usual hand-back.
Now, let's take a deep breath and climb up from the pipe with momentum.
I did it!
Conclusion
The configuration that targets hand-back has increased.
It's completely frustrating.
While I'm getting used to the operation and making progress, the stress is overwhelming.
Overall, it's a minus.
